Ideally and in order to protect our printhead and ensure the longevity of our printer, we should add wet-capping and cleaning to the daily maintenance routine for our machine.

Depending on how much we print, a cleaning cycle is recommended even twice within the same day.

If our printer does not see a lot of printing and assuming that the humidity conditions are in optimal levels, wet capping must occur once per week.

Remember that if our printer is not being used for prolonged periods of time, we should flush the ink out of our printhead/cartridges, in order to prevent the inks from drying and possible clogs to our printhead/nozzles.
