The Evolution  is produced using either the L1800 or 1390 engines - they have the same performance / quality so engine use depends on availability. It is more expensive than the basic L1800 model because it features the following advancements over the basic L1800:

  • Built-in Heater-enhanced printing area for better ink adhesion and curing and avoidance of ink-bleeding in low temperature scenarios
  • WIMS (White Ink Management System) - a Patented White ink "mix and recycle" feature typically found only on $20000+ systems and a major benefit to minimize clogs
  • XL Ink Tank Continuous Feed System - larger and DTF specific, as compared to standard ink tanks used on other systems

It does not powder and heat the film, that is still a separate task, but if you add the auto-heat station for $499 (https://dtgpro.com/cicproduct/dtfpro-evolution-heat-station.php) or cheaper in a bundle with the evolution, it helps with the powder heating as opposed to using an oven / heat press hover or other mechanism that may not be as precise.
